Hello! My name is Martín. I'm a composer, producer, violinist, and music educator currently based in New York City. I have over eight years of experience teaching students of all ages and levels, and I deeply enjoy working with people to help them grow artistically, technically, and creatively; whether they're beginners taking their first steps or advanced artists looking to refine their voice.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Composition and Music Production and I'm currently pursuing a Master's in Music Composition at the Manhattan School of Music.
I offer lessons in:
Music theory (any level)
Violin
Composition and songwriting
Improvisation
Music production using DAWs (especially Ableton Live)
Electronic hardware and synthesis (modular synths, analog/digital synths, signal routing, etc.)
I'm fluent across multiple musical styles—from classical and contemporary ensembles to experimental electronic, singer-songwriter, ambient, and more. My own creative work reflects this versatility and openness, and I bring that same spirit to my teaching.
I believe that every student is different, and that lessons should be shaped by the student’s goals, interests, and context—not by a one-size-fits-all curriculum. My approach is flexible and student-centered. Whether you want to prepare for conservatory auditions, write your first song, learn to produce your own tracks, or explore sound for its own sake, I’m here to support your vision.
Lessons may include:
Listening and analysis
Creative exercises
Improvisation techniques
Feedback on your work
Technical guidance using tools (DAWs, synths, notation software, etc.)
I use a range of digital and analog tools and can offer hands-on instruction with software and hardware.
