I am Brian W. I am an actor based in New York City. I grew up in Brooklyn, New York and 8 years ago when I was 22 years old I decided to pursue an acting career. I did not have a formal acting education - meaning I did not go to a conservatory or major in acting in college. I sought out the best teachers in New York City and learned from them. I have developed my own way of approaching a story, character, and script. I've learned that to treat acting like algebra and arithmetic does NOT work and every story, character, and situation is unique and different. However there are universal principles that I have adapted which allow me to find authenticity, truth, spontaneity, etc in the story and character. I understand what it means to to get an audition and have to turn it around quickly while memorizing your lines, telling the story effectively, and most importantly making it your own!
I am in SAG-AFTRA and I am represented by Fourward Management. I have guest starred and co starred on several shows including Law & Order (NBC) , FBI: Most Wanted (CBS) , The Crowded Room (APPLE TV), The Oath (CRACKLE). I have had major supporting roles in feature films including Allswell in New York (which premiered at TriBeca film festival and played in AMC theaters in 2024) and Last Straw. I have had leading roles in many short films as well.
For years I have helped friends and peers nail auditions and self tapes with ease and I am excited to bring my experience and knowledge to the general public. I will help you nail your auditions, develop your craft, find your voice and place in this ever-changing and competitive industry, and any other acting related needs. When working on a scene we will breakdown the scene line to line and figure out why you are saying what you are saying. How to tell the story most effectively based on what the writer has written. We will figure out the moment before, your objective, and where your character fits into the larger story. This will be done in a safe way with a respect to the actor.
