Hello, I’m Vince, your personal tutor! I recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Mathematics, and I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Mathematics, in which I graduated summa cum laude. In my years of study, I noticed in my courses that instructors could not spend time helping individual students without sacrificing too much class time. It became my goal to fill that gap, providing students with personalized sessions that worked for them. I employ an ‘office hours’ approach which has been very successful so far; Students have 100% control over what we do with our time together, and we will do whatever it takes to reach our goals. Whether it is deriving the Quadratic Formula, debugging spaghetti code, reinventing a wheel, or learning something new, we will be in it together!
I have 5 years of experience tutoring introductory, intermediate, and advanced math and computer science courses both in-person and online. Usual session formats are weekly 1-on-1’s, but small groups are also common. I also taught precalculus courses for two years during my graduate program, so I have experienced the classroom from all sides.
My goals are to answer your questions, help you get ahead, and to make you so confident and curious that you want to learn MORE. Feel free to contact me whenever is most convenient for you. Just let me know your preferred dates, times, topics, and any other details that could help me be more effective during a session. My specialty subjects are precalculus, calculus 1, discrete math, proof writing, programming in today’s popular languages, and data structures. If you need another subject, just ask and I’ll let you know if I can help!
