Hello, my name is Hannah. I am a junior at Swarthmore College, pursuing a double major in English Literature, with a concentration in creative writing. In addition to a degree in Studio Arts focusing on sculpture and digital art. My academic background as a current college student in these majors, specifically English Literature, has helped me refine strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of literary techniques, and how to craft emotionally resonant narratives. In addition I have also taken AP Seminar and AP Research in high school. Where I was taught about writing essays that were more research based that helped me develop strong analytical and critical thinking skills. These courses provided me with a foundation in constructing well-supported hypotheses that can be theorized and or argued about with the help of finding diverse and relevant sources to engage the audience to learn about complex topics in a structured, research-driven manner.
In addition I have had two years of experience as a teacher assistant for multiple teachers since high school. I have developed strong communication skills and a thoughtful approach to guiding students through literary concepts. I hope that with the topics I am experienced in that I will help students build their critical thinking skills. In addition to helping students refine their analytical and writing skills. I hope to support students in developing their creative expression while strengthening their foundational skills in literature and composition.
I want to help students feel confident in their writing and analysis.
