May name is Liza! I am a licensed pharmacist and tutor. I attended one of the top high schools in New York and graduated with an advanced regents diploma. I then proceeded to college and graduated top of my class from LIU with a Doctorate in Pharmacy. Ever since high school I tutor various subjects on the side apart from my main job of being a pharmacist. I have tutored kids in middle and high-school as well as college students. Some college students I have tutored included my own colleagues in pharmacy school.
I have always wanted to be a teacher as well as a pharmacist and strive to become a professor in university in the future. Teaching is a passion of mine and there’s no better feeling than when a student is achieving their goals thanks to your help. Some subjects I have tutored include high school level Biology, Chemistry, and Geometry as well as graduate level Pharmacology. My tutoring approach is always different depending on the student’s needs. Most of the time I create detailed lesson plans and then work on anything the student needs extra help with afterward. My goal is for the student to always get answers to all their questions and leave each lesson confident in what they’ve learned.
I am always open to suggestions from my students and am flexible in my teaching style. I understand that everyone learns differently and there is no one size fits all approach to teaching. I try to always be available for my students to reach me with any questions or concerns.
