Dear future student (and parent),
Hi! My name is Huma, and I’m so glad you’re here. Math has always been one of my strongest subjects—and one I’ve genuinely loved. I studied it as a major subject in both O Levels and A Levels, scoring 97% in O Levels and earning a strong A grade in A Levels. Later, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, continuing with math all the way up to university-level calculus. Throughout my own academic journey, I was the kind of student who loved not just solving problems but truly understanding them—and now, I enjoy helping others do the same.
I’ve been teaching math in a formal classroom setting since 2015 at one of the top private schools in my city, and I’ve been tutoring since my university days. Most of my experience is with middle schoolers, though I’ve worked with high school students as well, including helping them prepare for standardized tests like the GRE. One thing that really sets my tutoring style apart is that I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every student who comes to me is different, and I take the time to understand their unique learning style, needs, and challenges before tailoring a tutoring plan just for them. Some students are visual learners, others may prefer step-by-step problem solving, and some may need real-life examples to connect with the material. My goal is always to meet each student where they are and help them build both skills and confidence at their own pace.
Whether you’re trying to catch up, keep up, or get ahead, I’m here to make math less intimidating—and maybe even enjoyable. You’ve got this, and I’d love to help you every step of the way.
