Dear students,
I am a native Arabic speaker from Beirut, Lebanon. I hold a Masters in Fine Arts from The New School for Drama and Bachelor's degree from the American University of Beirut in business administration with a Minor in Philosophy.
I have been teaching in group settings and tutoring one on one for more than 20 years, both in the United States and internationally. I am a Fulbright scholar and speak a total of 6 languages (English, Arabic, Lebanese, French, Italian, and basic Spanish). I mostly have experience teaching adults students (with some experience working with high schoolers). I come to tutoring from a strong performance arts background.
I am looking to connect with Arabic learners looking for conversational proficiency and confidence. As someone who took the TOEFL and scored in the top 95%, I am also interested in teaching English to non-native English speakers.
In addition to teaching, I have developed content in Arabic for several clients including advertising campaigns for not-for-profits as well as bilingual educational courses both in Arabic and English. I have experience in classroom settings, one on ones, as well as small groups.
I am looking for students who want to study English or Arabic formally (through grammar and vocabulary) or informally (through conversation).
