I am an experienced music teacher and English tutor. With over five years of experience, I have taught in both an elementary school and in one-on-one settings. I have tutored approximately 50 students both in-person and virtually. I have worked with a wide range of age groups from three years old to 60+. I specialize in tutoring writing and have assisted students with analytical essays, creative writing, spelling, grammar, reading comprehension and more. I tailor all tutoring sessions to the individual and every session is unique. In addition to tutoring, I have been playing the guitar for 16 years and have taught multiple students through the years. I am trained in jazz but primarily teach basic pop and rock guitar to beginner and intermediate students. I have attended numerous art institutions such as Interlochen Center for the Arts, Litchfield Jazz Camp and New York Summer Music Festival. I have a BA in Music and Psychology.
In undergrad, I majored in Music and Psychology. I have extensive work experience with kids as a babysitter and a camp counselor in both day camp and sleep away settings. I have previously worked full-time as a music teacher in an elementary school and have taught guitar to students of any age. I have also taught English as a second language. As a former student, I understand the importance and value of a great teacher and I love sharing my passions with others!
