For undergraduate, I received my B.A. in both Computer Science and Africana Studies, graduating magna cum laude from Brown University. After graduating, I spent 4 years working as a software engineer at Google, working on a variety of projects including Google Docs, Sheets, & Slides.
I have always loved math and science and have had a passion for computer science & software engineering since college. I love working with young folks, and I am particularly passionate about helping those with marginalized identities i.e. women, non-binary, LGBTQ+, & BIPOC folks, as there are still so few of us in these industries. At Google, I got a taste for tutoring when I mentored software engineer apprentices on my team, helped CS students prepare for coding interviews and volunteered at student events and workshops.
Now, post-Google, I am proud to say that I teach & tutor full-time! I am so happy to pass on my skills & learn from my students as well.
