I received my Bachelor's in Computer Science and Mathematics from Middlebury College. I was on the Dean's list each semester and graduated with departmental honors in Computer Science. During those four years I TA'd several Math, Physics, and Computer Science courses. Starting my sophomore year, I worked at Juni Learning where I taught middle school and high school students the basics of Computer Science. The courses I tutored/taught ranged from introductory subjects (Intro to Comp Sci and Data Structures) to advanced ones (Systems Programming, Computer Architecture). Throughout college and my professional career I have gained hands on experience with many of the programming languages and tools that most individuals interact with including: Python, Java, C, C++, Rust, Perl, and Go.
My experience working with a wide range of students, in-person and virtual, gave me a good understanding of common pitfalls that individuals can run into when working through course material. I use visual aids to break down complex concepts into digestible pieces. Additionally, I can help provide the reasons that you are learning what you're learning in the context of technology and software. Together, I believe we can identify strategies and approaches that best suit your learning needs and goals.
