Hi! My name is Antonio, and I graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Dramatic Writing from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, with a focus on academic film analysis and writing for film. I tutored peers and children K-8 all through my high school and college years, and then took a break to establish a career after I graduated- I returned to tutoring in early 2023, and since then have been tutoring students aged K-12 in one-on-one sessions online and in-person, for English reading, comprehension and composition.
While I love imparting test-taking tips and tricks, I always prioritize long-term understanding in my students. After establishing a baseline of understanding, I tailor my lessons to build on what they already know, and build towards a proficiency they can be confident about, in their academic and professional lives, but also in their personal lives. While most of my experience is with teaching college and grade school students, I'm more than happy to offer my time to any adults who may want help with honing their professional or creative writing skills as well!
