As a DGA director and trained cinematographer from AFI, I bring a visual and emotional precision to working with actors. I’ve been invited often to coach talent for on-camera auditions and performances — helping them tap into something real, grounded, and alive. I know how to shape performance from both sides of the camera and create an environment where actors feel seen, supported, and challenged. It’s one of my favorite parts of the work.

Liz H. is a DGA director, creative director, and producer with a dynamic career spanning film, commercials, and immersive media. Her debut narrative feature premiered at the Directors Guild of America and received critical acclaim from Variety. The film garnered the Panavision New Filmmakers Grant and is available on Apple TV+ and Amazon Prime. Liz's short films have been showcased at prestigious festivals including the Berlin Film Festival, Slamdance Film Festival, Newport Beach Festival and Hamptons Film Festival. In the immersive space, her documentary VR experience, supported by the Venice Biennale, was featured at the New Images Festival and Breakthrough Fellowship and is set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival 2025. Liz has made significant contributions in the VR/AR/AI sector, collaborating with The NFL, Walmart, Accenture, and Byton Auto, and winning Best Commercial/Branded Content at CES for her Accenture project.

Super nice and insightful teacher!

She gives a very open space to talk about everything you have in your head and lay them out so she can help align the project and vision. She has assisted in finding equipment, planning and so much more to come! She is extremely sweet and fun too!

A tutor on Wyzant that really stands out from the crop

I really enjoyed my first lesson with Liz. I had a lot of awful experiences on Wyzant. I was on the verge of giving up. A lot tutors on Wyzant flaked on me or was more concerned about how many students they can get under their belt and be so overwhelmed that they dismissed me. They didn't care about me. They rather care about their bank account. Liz, however is different. Liz is genuine and patient. She encourages you and gives you enough breathing room to let your creativity flow like a river. She doesn't treat you like a paycheck (which is sadly a lot of tutors on Wyzant do) she ACTUALLY treats you like a human being and a student. I highly recommend Liz. I feel like I am really accomplishing my screenplay goals with her and it is such a nice breath of fresh air to meet a tutor who really wants to see you succeed. Liz will actually help you and guide you in your lessons. I am very blessed to have found Liz and I am very excited to go my screenwriting journey with her.
