My teaching philosophy is hands on learning, even in virtual environments! I believe we learn by doing, and tutors are there to guide students to the right answer without telling them what to do. All of my lesson plans have multiple, low stakes activities to break up lectures. This helps students focus and builds their confidence.
The school system often leaves students behind who need a bit more time or a bit more help. I create a low stress learning environment to empower students and their learning when their regular classroom instruction leaves them wanting.
My favorite subjects are HTML/CSS, Adobe software instruction, and creative writing! In my free time, I enjoy cooking, writing fiction, learning ASL, and spending time with my cat.
