I'm excited to share my background and tutoring approach. I graduated from Binghamton University with a Bachelor's degree in Integrative Neuroscience and have over 10 years of tutoring experience in chemistry, physics, math, SAT and ACT preparation. While attending Binghamton, a selective and well-regarded public university in New York, I also worked as a tutor for the university itself, helping college students succeed in challenging coursework. Over my tutoring career, I've completed more than 5,000 hours of tutoring and earned over 90 five-star reviews from students and families. I currently also work as a freelance tutor for a competitive international school based in the UK.

I've worked with students from middle school through college in subjects including chemistry, physics, algebra, geometry, calculus, AP Physics, college-level math and science, and SAT/ACT preparation. I've helped students reach 1450+ SAT scores, but I believe strong tutoring is about more than improving a single test score. My goal is to help students build the foundations and problem-solving skills that continue helping them long after a particular exam or class is over.

My approach is interactive, individualized, and focused on finding the actual reason a student is struggling. I pay close attention to how students solve both correct and incorrect problems, because a correct answer can still come from guessing, memorizing a procedure, or only partially understanding the concept. I ask students to explain their reasoning, break difficult ideas into manageable steps, and use visual examples, analogies, and real-world applications whenever possible. Whether we're working through chemical reactions, forces and electricity, algebra, calculus, or test strategy, I want students to understand why a method works instead of simply memorizing what to do. Ultimately, I want my students to become more confident, independent learners who can approach unfamiliar problems without immediately needing someone to show them the answer.

college counseling

Christopher helped with feedback on a resume and relieved my daughter of unnecessary stressful work since she learned that what she had was good for what she was requested. It was great for her to be able to talk to someone intelligent and who could relate about her application process.

chemistry

Always patient and great personality. Could teach anything, but thank goodness he is a great chemistry guru. Can answer all questions, helps reflect on how to solve problems, actually teaches and most important helps my daughter feel confident to go to class like if she has got it all organized and ready to tackle any problem.
