I'm excited to share my background and tutoring approach with you. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Integrative Neuroscience from Binghamton University, where I developed a deep understanding of science and how the brain processes information. This unique knowledge enhances my ability to teach physics, chemistry, and math. I've tutored for Binghamton University through University Tutoring Services, Fort Hamilton High School, and Leif Ericson Day School where I helped younger classmates with special needs, putting me at over 10 years of experience. In college, I focused on tutoring Physics 2, which covers electricity and magnetism. In high school, I tutored Regents chemistry, physics, math, AP Physics (including calculus versions), and AP Calculus BC.

My current GPA is 3.2, with strong performance in key subjects. I earned an A- in both Physics 1 and 2 and received an A- in Integration Techniques & Applications and an A in Infinite Series in Calculus 2. I've tutored students ranging from high school ages (14-18) to college ages (19-23). On the SAT, I scored 740 on the Math section (98th percentile) and 640 in English (88th percentile). For Regents exams, I scored an 84 on Algebra 2, 95 on both Physics and Chemistry, and an 86 on Algebra 1. Although math wasn’t my strongest subject early in high school, I improved significantly through advanced coursework.

My approach is hands-on, engaging, and interactive. I incorporate activities and experiments into my lessons to help students grasp complex concepts. For example, when teaching electromagnetism, I use everyday items like a bracelet to illustrate solenoids and magnetic fields, making the material relatable. I've tutored in one-on-one and group settings (5-15 students), working independently, assisting teachers, and in campus tutoring services. These experiences have taught me to not only explain complex concepts clearly, but also how to effectively work with students in order for them to retain what they have learned.

college counseling

Christopher helped with feedback on a resume and relieved my daughter of unnecessary stressful work since she learned that what she had was good for what she was requested. It was great for her to be able to talk to someone intelligent and who could relate about her application process.

chemistry

Always patient and great personality. Could teach anything, but thank goodness he is a great chemistry guru. Can answer all questions, helps reflect on how to solve problems, actually teaches and most important helps my daughter feel confident to go to class like if she has got it all organized and ready to tackle any problem.
