As a first-generation college student from California’s Central Valley, I understand how overwhelming medical training and board preparation can feel. Before medical school, I studied neuroscience at UC San Diego and taught courses including Human Physiology, Cell Neurobiology, and Biochemistry. I also completed research experiences at UPenn, UCSF, Stanford, and the NIH, where I worked on a dendritic cell vaccine for glioblastoma.
