My name is Daniel, but my students call me Dr G. I received my PhD in History from the University at California, Berkeley, and since have taught on campuses on both the East and West Coasts. I recently ended a 12-year position as a Tenured History and Writing Professor and Chair of the College of New Rochelle’s History Department. My name is Daniel, but my students call me Dr G. I received my PhD in History from the University at California, Berkeley, and since have taught on campuses on both the East and West Coasts. I recently ended a 12-year position as a Tenured History and Writing Professor and Chair of the College of New Rochelle’s History Department. I taught US & World History courses, Composition and Critical Research Essay for the college Writing Program and the College ESL program. I also taught upper-division, interdisciplinary research and method courses for the Division of Social Science (History, Economics, Sociology & Political Science). I have supervised over 60 senior theses, many MA and PhD dissertations and researched, edited and reviewed numerous academic publications (including my own).

As a college professor and private tutor, I have decades of experience preparing students in the verbal portion of the ACT. All of my course material, drills and exams are stored and executable online. Students take weekly diagnostic practice tests, daily vocabulary and multiple-choice drills, and intensive reading and reading response exercises. My weekly asynchronous requirements range between 20-30 hours of intensive weekly assignments and include 1-2 hours of diagnostic online sessions. If you wish to enrol in ongoing tutorials (which I recommend) I would advise at the very least a four-week program. First things first, I gotta say, Daniel G is an awesome tutor. I had the pleasure of being tutored by him in 2 subjects: AP World History and AP English Language and Composition. For both, I didn't need someone to teach me the content or instruct me on the details of the exam, as I had self-studied a sufficient amount beforehand; rather, I required a tutor that could enrich my pre-existing subject knowledge while giving me meaningful feedback regarding my essays, which I particularly struggled with (given my homeschooled circumstance).
