I am a mathematics Ph.D. and current postdoctoral scholar in Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Ohio State University. My work sits at the intersection of mathematics, physics, and engineering, and I especially enjoy helping students build real understanding rather than just memorize steps. I have also served in the U.S. Navy, including time aboard a nuclear submarine, which shaped the discipline, focus, and calm approach I bring to teaching.

My son's attitude toward trigonometry has completely changed. After just 3 sessions with Nick, my son's has a significantly more optimistic/confident demeanor. He has struggled through honors trig all year, probably due more to his inability to organize the steps than understand the concepts. Under Nick's guidance he has regained his excitement for math. He actually said, "Dad, I can't wait for my next math test." What!! Nick breaks down the information while offering a very positive, enthusiastic and relateable approach. Nick is an intelligent young man with a bright future.
