Hello! My name is Concerto!
I currently work as a Behavior Technician at an ABA therapy agency, where I support children with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences on a daily basis, and I’m in the process of completing my RBT certification through the BACB. I’m also a second-year student at John Jay College studying criminology, with a long-term goal of becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This combination gives me a strong, practical understanding of how to teach kids who learn differently, not just academic content, but the behavioral strategies that help a lesson actually land!
My tutoring focus is English for special needs students, particularly kids who benefit from structured, patient, one-on-one instruction. In my work as a Behavior Technician, I use techniques like breaking tasks into small manageable steps, positive reinforcement, and reading a child’s cues to know when to push forward versus when to pause and regroup. I bring that same approach to tutoring: sessions are paced to the student, not a fixed curriculum, and I pay close attention to what keeps a child engaged versus what causes frustration or shutdown. I believe that these sessions should not only be enriching, but fun as well!
I’m patient, consistent, and genuinely enjoy working with kids who need a different kind of support to succeed. Whether it’s reading comprehension, writing skills, or just building confidence around schoolwork, my goal is to make English feel manageable and even enjoyable rather than overwhelming.
I look forward to meeting you! Let’s make learning fun!
