Hi! My name is Fadel, and I am a Biochemistry graduate from CUNY Lehman College, where I graduated summa cum laude with a 3.92 overall GPA and a 3.98 science GPA. During my undergraduate career, I earned multiple academic honors, including Departmental Honors, the John Paul Clay Achievement Award, the ACS Outstanding Senior in Organic Chemistry Award, and the Presidential Scholar distinction, as well as the Emma A. LeSchin Scholarship. I also scored a 500 Academic Average on the Dental Admission Test (DAT), demonstrating strong proficiency across the sciences I teach.
I have over 1,000 hours of tutoring experience working with both high school and college students in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. My experience includes one-on-one tutoring, leading small group study sessions, and teaching in a classroom setting as a college Chemistry Lab Instructor for both General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. In these roles, I have guided students through complex material, helped them prepare for exams, and supported students in improving their grades, including helping struggling students move from failing to passing.
My teaching approach focuses on simplifying complex topics into clear, step-by-step explanations so students can understand the reasoning behind each solution. I adapt my sessions to each student’s learning style, whether through practice problems, visual explanations, or repetition of key strategies. I primarily work with college students, including pre-med and pre-dental students, but I also help high school students build a strong foundation in science. My goal is to help students gain confidence, become independent learners, and succeed in their current and future STEM courses.
