Hi, I’m Guy, a guitar instructor based in New York with years of experience teaching beginners and intermediate students both online and in person. I’ve worked with students of different ages and backgrounds, from complete beginners learning their first chords to players who feel stuck and want to refine their technique, timing, and musical understanding. My goal is not just to teach isolated exercises, but to help students build real, lasting skills through the music they enjoy playing.
In my lessons, I use real songs as the foundation for learning. Each song becomes a structured learning tool where we develop technique, rhythm, chord transitions, scales, and musical feel in a practical way. I focus strongly on proper technique and good habits from day one, while keeping lessons clear, organized, and easy to follow. Students always know what they’re working on and why, which helps them break plateaus and make steady progress.
Whether a student wants to play rock, pop, blues, or acoustic music, I tailor lessons to their goals while maintaining a clear progression from lesson to lesson. My approach keeps practice motivating while making sure everything learned translates directly into real playing.
If you’re looking for structured guidance, real music-based learning, and a teacher who is invested in your progress, I’d be happy to work with you.
