I am currently completing my undergraduate degree at Fordham University, where I have developed a strong academic foundation in literacy, writing, critical thinking, and history. I have consistently earned Dean's List honors and maintains a 3.8 GPA throughout my college career. My coursework has strengthened my ability to break down complex ideas into clear, organized explanations, which directly informs my tutoring approach. I confidently support students in English, reading comprehension, essay writing, and related subjects by helping them understand not just what to think, but how to think critically and communicate effectively.
For over two years, I have worked with elementary and middle school students in both one-on-one and small group settings. In addition to strengthening literacy skills, I focus on developing executive functioning skills such as time management, study strategies, and effective approaches to assignments. I have also led students ages ten through thirteen in a classroom setting, teaching reading comprehension, narrative writing, literary elements, and context clues. These experiences have helped me learn how to adapt my instruction to different ages, learning styles, and academic needs.
My approach is highly individualized because I believe students flourish in environments that support their unique learning habits. Rather than simply providing answers, I use structured questioning and step-by-step guidance to build independence and confidence. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions while working towards meaningful growth. My goal is not only to improve grades, but to equip students with lasting skills they can carry into future academic experiences.
