I hold an advanced degree and professional certification that supports my work as an educator and tutor. I earned a Master of Arts in Teaching and am currently completing additional graduate degrees in History and School Counseling. I hold New York State professional certification in Students with Disabilities (Grades 7–12) and am pursuing additional professional certification in Social Studies. My academic training emphasizes strong content knowledge, literacy development, and research-based instructional strategies aligned to secondary state standards.
I have several years of experience teaching in a public high school setting, working with students in grades 9–12 across a wide range of academic levels. My teaching experience is primarily in inclusive and co-taught classrooms, where I support general education students, students with IEPs, and multilingual learners. I specialize in biology and social studies instruction and regularly design lessons that break down complex material, reinforce academic vocabulary, and build critical thinking skills. I also have experience providing small-group and individualized academic support, which closely mirrors one-on-one tutoring.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to individualize instruction while maintaining high expectations. With a background in special education and counseling, I am skilled at identifying learning gaps, using targeted scaffolds, and building students’ confidence alongside their academic skills. I focus on helping students develop strong study habits, organization, and independence, creating a supportive learning environment where students feel motivated and capable of success.
