Dear students and parents,
I am a certified Early Childhood, Childhood, and Special Education teacher with extensive classroom experience supporting students from preschool through fifth grade. I hold New York State Initial Certifications in Childhood Education (Grades 1–6) and Students with Disabilities, along with an extension in Early Childhood (Birth–2). My background is rooted in a Master of Education in Special Education and Childhood Education, which has equipped me with the skills to design instruction that specifically meets the developmental, academic, and emotional needs of young learners. In my previous roles as a Special Education teacher in both self-contained and integrated co-teaching (ICT) settings, I have successfully developed and implemented Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and differentiated instruction across diverse learning levels.
My approach to tutoring is defined by patience, structure, and encouragement. I have worked closely with students facing a variety of challenges, including learning disabilities, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and behavioral needs. I believe that learning is most effective when a student feels safe and understood, so I take the time to learn how each individual thinks and what motivates them. Whether we are strengthening foundational skills in reading and math or developing organizational strategies, my goal is to provide clear modeling and guided practice that builds confidence step-by-step. I am dedicated to helping my students gain not only academic proficiency but also the independence and pride that comes with steady progress.
