I’m a first-generation Harvard graduate with an A.B. in Applied Mathematics & Economics. I also scored in the 99th percentile on the ACT, with a composite 36 in Math and Science. That academic foundation, paired with clear communication and patience, shapes how I explain complex ideas simply and build students’ confidence step by step.
I’ve tutored for over six years across math, economics, STEM, and ACT Math/Science. My students have ranged from early learners (around age 5) to college undergraduates (up to age 22). I launched and ran a private ACT tutoring service for four years, focusing on math and science strategy. Earlier, I organized my high school’s peer-tutoring program, and in college I tutored introductory math and economics. I’m most often a one-on-one coach, but I also have experience supporting small groups and classroom settings when structure and pacing matter.
My approach is a rapid-feedback, mastery-first style: diagnose strengths and gaps, teach the core idea clearly, and then use targeted practice to make and fix mistakes quickly. Students learn both the “why” (deep conceptual understanding) and the “how” (test-ready tactics), including pattern recognition of question types, pacing and time management, and calm, repeatable problem-solving routines. I tailor explanations to the student’s level, use concise step-by-step reasoning, and finish sessions with a short plan so progress continues between meetings. The goal is durable understanding, higher scores, and independent learners who know exactly what to do when they sit down to a quiz or a test.
