I graduated from Mount Sinai Graduate School with an MS in Clinical Research. I was taught complex statistical concepts & adopted the general philosophy behind probability/evidence-based mathematics in biological research. I graduated from Mount Sinai Graduate School with an MS in Clinical Research. I was taught complex statistical concepts & adopted the general philosophy behind probability/evidence-based mathematics in biological research. My TA compartmentalizes & simplifies these complex topics into easily digestible parts. Learning Biostatistics became not only efficient but fun, instead of frustrating. Empowered, I was inspired to share that same feeling of hope I was granted. I became a TA in the same course; preparing notes, leading lab lectures & helping students through the same challenges that I overcame. I spent additional time with struggling students, even beyond office hours. It brought me great joy when students would leave with a greater understanding of the material, challenging themselves beyond what they would have otherwise. I continued to tutor both Mount Sinai Students & Doctors Freelance, while I worked on my research project!
I have enjoyed tutoring graduate-level biostatistics and research design for 4 years. I teach 1-on-1 & hands-on, working through problems with students, & explain any conceptual questions & the philosophy/ logic behind many of the applied concepts. This gives meaning to applied formulas & numbers that go beyond simply assisting with math calculations. I also taught SAS, which transcribes biostatistical calculations into SAS code. I also teach…
