About Eliza

Bio

I am a certified teacher... childhood certification and students with disabilities certification. I have experience teaching grades 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. I have multiple years of experience with students with disabilities. I am currently a second grade classroom teacher. I am very familiar with common core standards and common core aligned programs. I love teaching and making learning fun again.

Prior to being a full time classroom teacher, I was a permanent substitute. At this position I was responsible for all grade levels (k-12) and classroom types.

I have experience with many different math programs and common core standards. For example, GoMath, EngageNY, Envisions, etc.

I have experience with many different reading and writing programs and common core standards. For example, Journey's, Teachers College reading and writing, Reading A-Z, etc.

I have a master's degree in special education with a special concentration in autism. I have and have had students in the past in my classroom with ADHD. I have experience working with students with ADHD and how to implement strategies for these students.
