I have been tutoring students for more than 10 years in both individual and group settings. My tutoring experience began while I was earning my degree in Biological Sciences at Cornell University, where I worked as a peer tutor helping fellow students succeed in challenging science courses. Since then, teaching and mentoring have remained an important part of my professional life. I enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects that may initially seem intimidating and finding ways to explain complex concepts in a clear and approachable manner.

After completing my undergraduate education, I went on to earn my Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Binghamton University and completed advanced postgraduate training in clinical pharmacy. In my current role as a clinical pharmacist, I work closely with patients and healthcare providers to help manage complex medical conditions and optimize treatment plans. This experience has strengthened my communication skills and my ability to tailor explanations to different learning styles, whether I am teaching patients, healthcare professionals, or students.

Over the years, I have tutored a wide range of subjects, including chemistry, biology, biochemistry, physics, algebra, statistics, and calculus. I have also worked in academic support services at a community college, where I helped coordinate tutoring programs and supported students both in person and online. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them develop the problem-solving skills and confidence needed for long-term success. Whether you need help preparing for an exam, understanding difficult coursework, or strengthening your study habits, I look forward to helping you reach your academic goals.

My academic training included extensive coursework in biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, physiology, and pharmacology, providing a strong foundation in the chemical processes that drive living systems. I have over 10 years of experience tutoring high school and college students in biology, chemistry, and biochemistry. Throughout my tutoring experience, I have helped students understand topics such as protein structure and function, enzyme kinetics, metabolism, cellular respiration, DNA replication, gene expression, and biochemical pathways. My teaching approach focuses on helping students understand the relationships between biological and chemical concepts rather than relying solely on memorization. By breaking complex pathways and mechanisms into manageable steps, I help students build confidence and develop a deeper understanding of biochemistry.
Biology

Biology

I have over 10 years of experience tutoring biology to high school and college students in both individual and group settings. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Cornell University, where I completed extensive coursework in cell biology, genetics, physiology, anatomy, ecology, and molecular biology. In addition to my undergraduate training, I earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, which further strengthened my understanding of human physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, and disease processes. My academic background and tutoring experience allow me to help students understand both foundational biological concepts and more advanced topics.

As a part of my path to becoming a pharmacist, I need to take biostatistics and several courses that drew on these concepts. I have also tutored biostatistics prior to taking this course for 6 years.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I am the coordinator of the chemistry tutoring department at SUNY Broome. This involves me creating study guides and other helpful aids to assist students at the college. For the six years, I have been tutoring general & organic chemistry and biochemistry. I have helped students on a one-on-one setting as well group sessions. I also run the tutoring blackboard site at SUNY Broome, so I have experience helping chemistry students online as well. Lastly, I have experience working with high school students taking AP and college-level chemistry.
Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel

I have extensive experience using Microsoft Excel in academic, research, and healthcare settings. I regularly use Excel for data analysis, quality improvement projects, research studies, grade management, and reporting. My experience includes working with formulas, functions, charts, graphs, pivot tables, data organization, and spreadsheet design to analyze and present information effectively. In addition to my technical experience, I have over 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience. As a college instructor and tutor, I have helped students develop problem-solving and analytical skills that are directly applicable to Excel. I can assist students with everything from basic spreadsheet navigation and formatting to advanced data analysis techniques commonly used in school and professional environments. My teaching approach focuses on hands-on learning and real-world applications. I help students understand not only how to use Excel features, but also when and why to use them, allowing them to build confidence and become more efficient users of the software.

Great Tutor!

Keith is very understanding with me, because I never really know what I am doing when it comes to chemistry. He words things differently, in order for them to make sense. Even if I still do not understand he will work with me time after time again until I do. Wonderful tutor.

One of the best tutors I have encountered

I had questions about biopharm and he helped me understand the topics. He let me ask questions if I didn’t understand it and explained it further until I understood it.

Knowledgeable. Delivers with clarity and patience.

Keith is very knowledgeable and delivers his lesson in direct, calm, even toned manner which makes learning easier and unencumbered. I really like that even when our son gets the right answer, Keith explains what traps to watch out for so mistakes don’t happen in the future. He also follows through by checking back and clarifying any topics that might still feel unclear at the end of a session, just like he promises. Highly recommend.

Awesome! So very helpful for my teen son!

My son was failing chem and had basically given up. Keith helped him understand and feel comfortable asking questions that he didn’t in class. By the end of the year, he was feeling more confident and passing the class. I don’t think he could have done it without the help! He said Keith was down to earth and very patient! Thank you so much!
