Hi! I’m a high school math teacher with over 10 years of experience, and I genuinely enjoy helping students build confidence and succeed in math. I hold a Master’s degree in Special Education and especially enjoy working with students who have learning differences or need extra support to reach their goals.
My passion for teaching started early. I worked as a tutor while still in high school, and that experience—along with the strong, positive relationships I had with my own teachers—led me to pursue a bachelor’s degree in education. Those early experiences continue to shape my teaching approach today.
I teach and tutor high school math courses tied to state assessments, including Algebra and Algebra 2, and I understand what students need to know to feel prepared and confident on exams. I’ve also run SAT prep classes and tutored students one-on-one for SAT Math, helping them improve both math skills and test-taking strategies.
My tutoring style is structured but relaxed, patient, and supportive. I break concepts down into clear, manageable steps and adjust lessons to match each student’s learning style and pace. I aim to create a low-stress environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
I value communication and collaboration with both students and parents and am easy to reach and quick to respond. Whether the goal is improving grades, preparing for a state assessment, or boosting SAT scores, I’d love to help.
