Hi, I'm Leah! I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Binghamton University on the pre-med track, earning a B.S in Biological Sciences and a B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature. I also recently earned a Master's of Arts in Spanish from Binghamton University.

Hi, I'm Leah! I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Binghamton University on the pre-med track, earning a B.S in Biological Sciences and a B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature. I also recently earned a Master's of Arts in Spanish from Binghamton University.
I have tutored students one-on-one and in small group settings for the past 4 years. I specialize in SAT/ACT prep, Spanish, Biology, Chemistry, Algebra, and essay writing tutoring, as well as college application consultations. The most impactful teachers throughout my education were those who instilled curiosity in me and were patient and encouraging. My goal is to do the same for my students, creating a supportive space for them to grow, feel comfortable asking questions, and be excited about learning.

I make my tutoring sessions enjoyable, engaging, and easy to follow. I am very patient and receptive to questions. I utilize lesson plans, integrate practice problems into my lessons, and tailor my lessons according to each student's learning style and preferences. I provide highly individualized lessons, helping students develop critical thinking and independent study skills that are not always covered in the classroom but are essential for long-term success.

I scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT and ACT, and I enjoy teaching effective test-taking strategies for these exams. I also love to write and help students through the essay-writing process. I provide constructive feedback, and guide my students through drafts until we reach a final, meaningful version. For college application assistance, I assist with essay writing/editing, creating college lists, resume building, and more.

I have been playing the flute for over 12 years. I am the principal flutist of my university's orchestra. I am also involved in chamber music and baroque music ensembles, flute ensemble, and opera pit orchestras. I won my university's concerto and aria competition in 2023 and had the opportunity to perform Vivaldi's Piccolo Concerto in C Major with the symphony orchestra.
