Hi! I am a Computer Engineering student at Stony Brook University. Between my coursework and my background in writing, I have developed a passion for STEM related subjects (especially math), and more importantly, a passion for breaking those subjects down so they actually make sense.

My tutoring journey started back in my sophomore year of high school when I began volunteering to help students navigate tricky subjects like Biology and AP Chemistry. I quickly realized how much I loved teaching, which led me to launch my own independent tutoring service. Over the last few years, I have worked extensively one-on-one with middle and high schoolers, always adjusting my teaching style to fit exactly how each student learns best. Beyond private tutoring, I also volunteered as an educator for Steel City Codes, where I led interactive workshops teaching Python and JavaScript. It was incredibly rewarding to watch almost all of my students perform well beyond their projected grade levels, especially when many parents even reached out specifically to keep me as their child's ongoing tutor!

My approach to teaching is simple. When we hit a tough or unfamiliar concept, I always start by figuring out exactly where the confusion is coming from. From there, we take it slow. I am extremely patient and believe in practicing a concept until it truly clicks. I want my students to understand the underlying logic so they can tackle tricky homework or exam questions with total confidence.

I also have experience with SAT tutoring (I scored a 1500+), so whether you're trying to survive a math or science class or learning to code for the first time, I am here to provide a supportive, growing, and rewarding environment. I look forward to working with you!
