Bio

My name is Peter K. I have been freelancing in New York and recently remote for 18 years as a 3D animator. I have worked with studios from New York to California on various commercials and films. I also have worked on a few games.
I have been teaching undergrad and graduate students since 2013 at NYIT and at Montclair State U since 2022 in Maya 3D generalist and character animation courses. I have taught a wide range of students from all walks of life.

I have been teaching undergrad and graduate students since 2013 at NYIT and at Montclair State U since 2022 in Maya 3D generalist and character animation courses. I have taught a wide range of students from all walks of life.
I pride myself on a patient and clear workflow. My students all get taught working with their skill level as a basis and not overwhelming them if they are starting out without prior experience. I have taught up to 20 students at a time working on group projects and using many visual ads and online references. I can also teach 1 on 1 to give special attention and focus.
Programs I am versed in include: Maya, After Effects, Zbrush, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere.

I have been using Adobe After Effects for over 20 years professionally. I have created graphics packages for studios that have aired on tv, such as a Time Warner rebrand. I also have worked on medical animations using animated graphs and charts. Lastly I use the program for extensive compositing from 3D rendered layers to create uniquely complex animations.

I have been using Premiere Pro for over 10 years. I have edited complex medical conference videos with multiple speakers. I also use the program to create collage video and photo slideshows. I also edit animations with voice over and music in Premiere Pro.

I have a BFA from NYIT with a Computer Graphics focus. I have also completed the Animationmentor.com 2 year program. I was taught animation by the top artists from studios such as Disney, Pixar, and Dreamworks. have been working in the commercial/film/games industries since 2006 at various studios around the country. My focus is on character animation and I have worked on big projects animating characters such as Super Mario, Geoffrey Giraffe, God of War Kratos, Ryan Reynolds voiced "Sugar Panda", etc. I animated all animation cycles and cinematics for the VR game "Boxing Apocalypse" as well as in game cinematics for "God of War: Ascension". I also have been teaching Maya character animation courses at NYIT since 2013 and Montclair since 2022 to under grad and graduate students.
