I have a diverse range of music that I can play as well as teach, and strive to be as versatile as possible to fulfill the needs of students, as I want to teach them music that they want to learn. Any song they provide me I can either transpose to piano, or simplify the chord progression and melody to make it possible to teach beginners.
I have very good communication skills when it comes to teaching people the basic principles of piano, be it someone who plays another instrument or something with no musical background whatsoever. I make the concepts very concise and simple so they are quickly and easily understood, and through repetition they become ingrained in your memory, which ultimately improves the overall learning experience
I have been playing piano for 12+ years. And I have been part of 2 jazz bands. I have also earned a B.A majoring in Music Production for Visual Media. I composed 100s of original pieces, and have albums of my solo piano compositions. Plus, I am extremely experienced in the art of improvisation, and understanding of how to play in any key or any chord progression.
