I am currently a math major and have studied at Trinity College Dublin. I am a Laidlaw Scholar and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Westridge High School with a 4.1 GPA. I scored a 5 on both my AP Calculus BC and Microeconomics exams and a 4 on my AP Statistics and Chemistry exams. I am currently based in upstate New York.

I have more than 100 hours of one-on-one in-person and online tutoring experience, having worked with students ages 9 to 18 on topics including elementary math, algebra, chemistry, and academic essay writing. I have helped students go from C’s to A’s. I was also an inaugural tutor of my high school’s Writing Center. I am passionate about math and love learning about and teaching the history and development of mathematical ideas. I strive to not only help my students achieve a basic understanding of the topics they are studying, but to also help them move forward on their academic journey. I enjoy engaging with the applications and intersections of math within students’ own lives.

Having struggled in some classes in my own academic career, I understand the stress and frustration not fully grasping a topic can cause. As a tutor, I assess where my students are having difficulties and determine how I can best help them reach their goals. I help students work through problems from class as well as give my own examples for students to work through. I use various teaching methods, such as graphical solutions and analogies to topics students already understand, to facilitate different ways of thinking about the material. My favorite part of tutoring is seeing students' eyes light up when they finally understand the material that has been causing them difficulty.
