I have been a 9th grade English teacher of roughly 15 years. I've tutored many students for the English Comprehensive Regents Exam as well as the English Common Core. I have a welcoming demeanor that allows students feel at ease rather than the pressure that they may feel in the classroom.

Working one on one with students is an advantage for both the student and myself. This arrangement allows us to personalize the academic needs for success as well as increase self-esteem with the belief that you can be the master of your learning.

What makes me an outstanding English Tutor is not only my years of experience in the classroom, but also working with students with learning challenges including students who are resistant to engage and students who have little faith in their abilities.

I value my abilities to communicate with students outside of the classroom in order to provide them a chance at not only performing better in their classes with essay writing and critical thinking, but performing with success on state tests. I use strategies for general test taking as well as content specific strategies that break down tests into skill sets that make taking the New York State English Common Core Regents a breeze.

There is nothing more that makes me fulfilled in my certification than boosting the self-efficacy of students who are struggling to succeed. Classroom teachers have so many students to provide quality academic resources for, yet I can provide an individual plan of success that you can use for testing and classroom achievement now and for years to come.
