Hi, my name is Megan! I'm a designer and illustrator based in NYC. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan after attending one of the nation's highest ranked arts high schools. Hi, my name is Megan! I'm a designer and illustrator based in NYC. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan after attending one of the nation's highest ranked arts high schools. I've worked in a variety of architecture-adjacent design roles and currently work as an experiential designer on projects for major corporations both in the US and abroad. My tutoring experience started in college with my classmates, and I've now worked with students from over 35 different universities across the country- including students at Harvard, Cornell, Parsons, NYU, and Cal Poly.

I offer tutoring & college counseling sessions to clients of high school age and older for visual arts, design, and architecture at all levels! I genuinely love aiding people to feel confident and fluent in the programs and design methods they need to master for their creative pursuits.The programs that I teach include: Rhino, SketchUp, V-Ray, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop. I've worked with complete beginners and more advanced users in all of these programs, and tailor my sessions with clients to meet their individual needs.

I'm all about providing helpful shortcuts, and guiding my clients to feel comfortable using these complicated programs quickly! I'm well aware of design school expectations in addition to the rigor and time involved in creating design projects. I especially enjoy working with business owners and adults who are transitioning into design from other industries. If you aren't computer savvy and feel overwhelmed by the details involved in handling file management while using these programs, I am the tutor for you.

Hey! I'm a multidisciplinary designer with a background in architecture & fine arts. I will teach you everything you need to become fluent using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat quickly and in a very approachable manner that sticks! I have experience teaching Rhinoceros for 3D modeling, spatial planning, and rendering using V-Ray and Enscape VR. I have tutored many college students and adult clients and I love helping people harness their creative potential, whether beginners or intermediate users!

I graduated magna cum laude from one of the nation's top art magnet programs- Design and Architecture Senior High in 2016. There, I had a rigorous fine arts education where I explored drawing and painting in a variety of mediums. I continued my drawing career during my time in Architecture school, where my work gained a spatial awareness. I worked for a fine artist when I was 14,15 years old and continued to assist painters at a ceramic studio when I was in high school so I have plenty of experience instructing and guiding artists along their creative journey.

I have been an Adobe Photoshop Certified Associate since 2014 and I have been steadily using Illustrator, Indesign, and Photoshop for the last 8 years. I am also experienced using Adobe Acrobat and can teach that to anyone. I have taught many of my friends and colleagues how to use these programs for a variety of functions and can help you quickly grasp the most important tools you need to know to get your project done!

Rhino Knowledgeable Tutor

Megan helped me by using Rhino to design a complex building shape. From her skilled use of Rhino, complex roof planes were created, flattened and then exported as vectors. Those vectors became the basis for laser cutting parts needed to construct a scale model.

Solid Instructor

In about 6 lessons over a 10 day period Megan gave me an in depth education in Rhino 3D. I had no experience with the program and went from novice to intermediate user with minimal frustration. At the end of these lessons, I was able to create finished drawings from my Rhino model and export them. Megan then taught me the basics of Adobe InDesign such that I was able to create a finished and polished presentation of my work. Highly recommend Megan as your teacher for Rhino and other software.
