I have worked with children and adolescents in various settings – formal classroom settings both within the U.S. and in Africa, and informal camp settings across the country. From this variety, I have learned and respected that every new day of working with children brings forward unique challenges that allow for me to not only learn with the children, but also to learn from them. Time spent with a child can be more effective than quantifiable performance, as being welcomed, respected, and loved will allow a child to grow.
