I am a 2nd year Biological Sciences major at UC Irvine with a 3.8 GPA. I have a 5 on the AP Biology test. I also have all A's in my biology classes in college.
Ear Training

Ear Training

Certificate of Merit, a California music test has ear training in the music theory section. I have passed Level 10 Advanced (the highest level) for piano and Level 9 for violin. I have perfect relative pitch. I can distinguish major chords, minor chords, diminished 7th, major 7th, augmented 7th, dominant 7th. I can also distinguish inversions of the same chord from each other.

I had straight As in all my Organic chemistry classes in college. I am going to be an organic chemistry peer tutor in college. I will have worksheets available from being a peer tutor. Also, I am studying for the MCAT and there is Ochem on that so I have not forgotten anything.

I have learned piano for 13 years. I have passed Certificate of Merit Level 10. I have won countless competitions including but not limited to Romantic Impressionist festival (3 times), SYMF (many categories), MTAC Solo, and many more. I was a featured soloist at my high school's concerto concert for 2 years.

I have been in choir since I was 8 years old. I was elected tenor section leader of concert choir and chamber singers at my high school. This position requires me to teach the tenor part to the other tenors in the choir. My sight singing abilities are also very good because I can sight read violin and piano also. I have passed the Certificate of Merit Level 10 for piano Level 9 for violin which includes sight reading in it.

I have learned violin for 11 years. I play chamber music extensively as a violinist and passed Certificate of Merit Level 9. I have won competitions such as Satori Solo, Satori Chamber, and was featured as a soloist with violin for my high school's concerto concert in my 11th grade. I was concertmaster of my high school's advanced orchestra and chamber orchestra. I was also the student conductor.

I started singing in Los Angeles Children's Chorus at the age of 8 and remained there until my voice changed. While there, I was selected to be one of the street boys in the opera Carmen conducted by Placido Domingo. In high school I joined concert choir and chamber singers and was tenor section leader for both (10th grade and 12th grade respectively). I have auditioned and made it into the California All-southern choir.

Great first lesson. Taught my daughter how to correctly hold bow and violin. Loved the practice schedule ("homework") he gave her for the week. Had some great suggestions to help her understand how to hold and why.
