I received Bachelor's degrees in physics and math from Harvey Mudd College, then spent three years in the physics PhD program at MIT. While there, I honed my tutoring skills TAing for undergraduate physics, running well-attended office hours and assisting with in-class problem solving, before leaving to start a career as a software engineer.

I have a deep love of mathematics and physics as ways of understanding the world around us, and I'd love to share them with you! I'm never satisfied with my understanding of STEM topics until I can see them from several different perspectives, which makes it easy to find the way that will best connect with a student. My favorite part of the process is helping students identify foundational concepts they are missing, giving them the confidence to build on those fundamentals and learn new skills.
I'm comfortable tutoring a wide range of physics and mathematics topics, from high-school-level algebra, calculus, and physics classes to quantum physics, statistical mechanics, group theory, linear algebra, and partial differential equations.
