I am currently an Electrical and Computer Engineering student at New York University with a strong academic focus in mathematics and a long-term goal of completing advanced coursework and a degree pathway in math. My engineering background has given me a rigorous, problem-solving mindset, while my math training allows me to break down complex ideas into clear, logical steps that students can understand and apply with confidence.

I have several years of experience tutoring mathematics across a wide range of levels, including middle school math, high school Algebra and Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus I and II, and introductory college-level mathematics. I have worked with students one-on-one in both in-person and online settings, helping them prepare for exams, improve homework performance, and build long-term conceptual understanding. Many of my students have seen significant improvements in their grades, test scores, and overall confidence, often moving from struggling to performing at or above class expectations.

My tutoring approach emphasizes understanding the “why” behind each concept rather than memorization. I adapt my explanations to each student’s learning style, using visual intuition, real-world examples, and step-by-step problem solving. I focus on identifying gaps in foundational knowledge and reinforcing them so students feel prepared and independent. My goal is not only to help students succeed academically, but also to help them develop strong mathematical thinking skills that will benefit them well beyond a single course.
