I pride myself in teaching to a student's strengths and catering my teaching style to what works best for a specific student's learning style. I truly care about the learning outcomes for each and every one of my students.

A bit about myself: I am a current college student in NYC, attending Macaulay Honors College. I graduated from Stuyvesant High School, a specialized high school in NYC, and am familiar with rigorous high school honors courses.

I have experience as a volunteer tutor for the Metis Project, where I focused on tutoring math, science, and chess to students from first to fifth grade, remotely. I am knowledgeable about specialized high school admissions in NYC, and I am a strong tutor for the SHSAT. I peer tutored one on one AP Chemistry and AP Biology during high school, and I am particularly adept in those subjects. I am a 1570 SAT scorer, and am capable of tutoring for the SAT as well, particularly when it comes to improving test-taking skills.

Well-prepared, good communication and punctual tutor

My son is not a fan of Chemistry, but found John’s regents tutoring helpful. John is very communicative, prepared and flexible. We look forward to continuing the tutoring.

Great Tutor

John is a wonderful tutor who prepares for each class in advance and teaches well. He goes over mistakes and ensures your child will focus on his/hee weaknesses. He's incredibly responsive and my son understands math much better! We're moving onto ELA next!

Very prepared Tutor

This tutor prepared for the session before hand, which helped get right to the parts of the lesson that confused me without much confusion. Very good person to go to if you need help with math.
