I am currently a PhD student at Univerisity of California, Berkeley, specializing in Ottoman history.
With this academic career, I also have a drive to teach and help those who are struggling or would simply like to deepen their knowledge about languages and history.
I have tutored in English and French to children of an underprivileged community on a little Greek island known as Patmos. The students were in middle school. In the spring of 2021, I volunteered to tutor French online to a student of a francophone elementary school in Brooklyn (P.S. 110), which was orchestrated through the Francophone Community Exchange Program. During 2021, as a result of COVID I was on the island and taught adult Turkish lessons, Italian to a group of high schoolers, and assisted one of the English teaching centers on Patmos.
