Bio

I am a recent SUNY Oneonta graduate with a degree in physics and environmental sustainability. During my time at Oneonta I endeavored in many different areas of research, teaching, and coding. My focus areas of research has been three research projects in astronomy. I am a recent SUNY Oneonta graduate with a degree in physics and environmental sustainability. During my time at Oneonta I endeavored in many different areas of research, teaching, and coding. My focus areas of research has been three research projects in astronomy. Two projects consisted of observational data taking, analyzation, publications, and presentations of exoplanet and Supernovae data from 2022 to 2024. Recently I was hired to do research with the James Webb Space Telescope in search of new Supernovae.

I also spent a few months teaching an astronomy summer camp to middle and high school students. In addition to this I also volunteered to teach astronomy to the 4-H Youth program in upstate New York. I have been tutoring students at SUNY Oneonta for almost four years, and at Tutorax for over one year. Typically I like to run sessions however the student prefers. If the student is simply seeking help for the current topic- I provide homework help, a step by step analysis of the methods used to solve the questions, and I can provide extra practice if needed. For many students, they often express that a review of older material is needed, more often than not a review of older materials is done alongside the current material you may be learning. I am also very found of giving the student a chance to try a question on their own during the session. This allows the student to ask questions as they are actively trying to solve the question.

I have taught students from ages 7 to 65 years old. I have taught in classrooms (in person and online), camps, tutoring sessions, and in free public library sessions. I can tutor topics for math from middle school through calculus 3 and differential equations. I also tutor a variety of physics and astronomy courses.

Approved Subjects

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I recently graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a physics degree and a math minor. I use algebra, calculus, and other forms of math on a daily basis as a physicist. I have also taught algebra for almost four years. It is my most popular subject.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a degree in physics and astronomy. I need to use algebra daily for the research I do, so I have to be well versed in it. I also tutor algebra more than most other subjects. I have been tutoring algebra for 4 years.
Astronomy

Astronomy

My concentration in physics was astronomy and my research mainly focused on observational astronomy and computational astronomy. My researched focused on exoplanets, supernovae, and the methods used were taking data with telescopes, processing data, using python to process JWST data, and more. I also completed 5 upper division undergraduate astronomy courses, all of which I received an ‘A' in.
Calculus

Calculus

I am a recent graduate from SUNY Oneonta where I majored in Physics and minored in astronomy. Physics is simply applied calculus, so I need to be well versed in calculus to do research. I have tutored calculus for over a year.
Environmental Science

Environmental Science

I completed the environmental science degree at SUNY Oneonta and I conducted two semesters worth of light/sound pollution research while in school. I wrote my undergraduate thesis on the adverse health effects of light pollution. I also interned for the sustainability department at the college for one semester. In addition to having a degree in this field, I also took AP environmental science in high school and received a 4 on the AP exam.
Italian

Italian

I took Italian from 7th grade through my senior year of high school, marking 6 full years of learning Italian. I can speak up through an intermediate level and I have tutored Italian at my high school for the past 8 months.
Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel

When conducting research, whether it be for data science, astronomy, or any other field, excel can and always is a great tool. I have become an expert with excel over the past 4 years, where it has become a vital part of analyzing data.
Physical Science

Physical Science

I recently graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a degree in Physics and environmental sustainability. I minored in math and Astronomy, so with all of this education, and as a researcher, it is vital that I am well versed in the physical sciences. I have tutored all sciences including biology, chemistry, astronomy, physics, Earth Science, AP Env Science, and more.
Physics

Physics

I am a recent graduate from SUNY Oneonta where I majored in Physics and minored in astronomy. I am an astronomer and researcher where I use physics on a daily basis to solve problems. I have been tutoring physics for 4 years.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

I am a recent graduate from SUNY Oneonta where I majored in Physics and minored in astronomy. I currently do research in the field of astronomy and pre algebra is an important topic to understand for any basic math needs. I have been tutoring pre algebra for 4 years.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I am a recent graduate from SUNY Oneonta where I majored in Physics and minored in Astronomy. I use precalculus concepts and calculus methods on a daily basis. I also have been tutoring pre calculus longer than any other subject, going on five years now.
Python

Python

I am a recent graduate from SUNY Oneonta as a physics major. I completed three fellowships which all required extensive coding in Python. One project required me to create a pipeline from scratch to identify supernovae from JWST images.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

I use trigonometry more than any other type of math in physics and astronomy, besides basic algebra. This skill has grown all throughout college as an essential tool required for my research. I have tutored trigonometry for almost four years at a high school level.
