I am a graduate of Hofstra University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and my Masters of Science in Education in English & Secondary Education. Since graduation, I have been working as a teacher in a classroom setting and as a tutor for 10+ years. I enjoy working with kids of all levels and I am eager to help support each child the best way that I can. I have worked in a variety of educational settings with students of varying academic levels and look forward to very flexible and adaptable ways to reach all learning goals for each learner.

My approach to tutoring is really working based on the individual strengths of learners and using those strengths to help them in areas where they may struggle. I have worked with a variety of age groups from elementary to middle to high school age. I have supported all learners from those who learn differently to those who utilize tutoring for more than support but also enrichment. I often develop lessons that highlight the skill/content each student I am working with requires support in. I begin each session with getting to know the student, seeing what areas of the skill/content the student feels most comfortable with, and then deciding which approach is best from there. I work with students on a one-to-one basis, small group setting, and larger class size setting, in all cases provided the best-individualized support necessary to help nurture academic growth.
