Hello my name is Jaf. I have been a tutor for over 22 years...tutoring all levels of math, ELEMENTARY, COMMON CORE, INTEGRATED ALGEBRA, GEOMETRY, ALGEBRA 2, TRIG, REGENTS, SAT, ACT, college level LOGIC and CALCULUS. I also teach high school and college level PHYSICS. I graduated from college with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Math. Many of my students I have taught have been with me for years, working through many grade levels.
Teaching math and physics has turned out to be an extremely rewarding experience. I enjoy doing it and enjoy working with the kids I teach. It's always serious work, but my students and I also have some fun. I make sure that is never boring. We get to know each other, our personalities, and I make sure I understand each student's learning process. The goal is to improve upon the student's skills and knowledge, and to prepare them for tests. I want my students to have a full understanding of what they are doing now, as well as what they learned in the past and where they are going with their math studies in the future. I make this happen in a relaxed, patient, and comfortable environment.
