My mission is to work with budding flute and piano players and help them build their self-esteem while also improving their craft. I not only want to teach them how to play their instrument through utilizing standard technical exercises, excerpts, and solo pieces, but also get them in a habit of positive self-talk so that they can feel their best and as a result play their best! I want to help my students build their confidence and walk to the beat of their own drum so they can discover and share their voices with the world.

Working for a non profit company's program has brought many rewarding interactions with young musicians in the Schenectady, New York area. Working with the students five days a week, we teachers bring after school music to these young people and strive to educate and inspire them in their daily lives. In the program, I work with a range of young people from the elementary to high school age, where I teach them different musical skills starting at the most basic: preparatory music lessons, hand drums and recorders, as well as beginning and advanced woodwind students.

I hold two degrees in music specializing in flute performance from two widely-accredited colleges. I have experience teaching flute and piano one-on-one as well as in group settings.

I am accepting new students into my flute and piano studio. I take flutists ranging from beginner to advanced and pianists ranging from beginner to intermediate. I am excited to offer 30 and 60 minute virtual lessons for those students who are not located in the Capital Region!
