Regarding instructional skills, I have studied and implemented curriculum for TESL students, instructed middle school students in the initiation and development of the Spanish language, and provided successful communication for demonstrable understanding of content (i.e., written, speech, picture board, etc.) for all IEP students served. In addition, my students and I achieved 100% success rates on the NY State Regents Exam in Spanish for two years with the majority of scores ranking 90 and above, several of which were 100s.
During my undergraduate and graduate experiences, I developed written skills through expository writing and acquired research methods as well as published a supplemental instructional methods book as an educational resource for instructors teaching students with disabilities a foreign language. I am a member of several professional organizations including NYSAFLT, NYSTA, NYSTRA, ATA, and ProZ.
