Hi there, I’m Joe! My educational background includes a B.A. in Physics with a minor in Mathematics from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY. I am currently enrolled part time at Clarkson University working toward an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering. I have strong interest and understanding of a variety of science and math topics and love helping students work through problems, learn new skills and work toward their educational and life goals.
I have experience tutoring middle school, high school and college students in a variety of math and science subjects, including peers I’ve had throughout my career. Most of my experience is in one-on-one tutoring with limited group tutoring. I had the pleasure of working as a Resident Advsior in college and through that responsibility I learned to effectively communicate with students and understand different perspectives.
My tutoring/teaching style is very casual and focused on pinpointing a tailored approach that will work for each individual student. Once I determine the best way for a student to learn, I like to focus on building confidence and working up to the more challenging areas of a given topic.
