Recent Grad in Psych + Bio, 1440 SAT Score, Standardized Test Prep

I am a current college student, studying at SUNY Albany. I graduated high school with a steady and respectable GPA, and had the experience of a virtual school year, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to this, I have valuable experience with taking classes online, both in a "classroom" and a 1 on 1 setting with a teacher. I have a 1440 score on the 1600 version SAT, with minimal prep (only the short mandatory prep sessions in class, zero outside preparation). As mentioned before, I am currently a college student, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Biology while currently on the Pre Med track.

My past tutoring experience includes a variety of in person classes and sessions. Currently, I am and have been an afterschool teacher/caretaker, for kids in a range of K-5th. Tutoring here took place in the form of classes, providing help to each student while promoting a vocal, enjoyable environment where my students were engaged in the material. I also had the pleasure of tutoring middle school students, as part of a club organization in my high school. This was in smaller sessions, consisting of less than 5 students.

Tutoring has always been a gateway of mine to showcase new and innovative methods of learning. I believe that with the right connection between a tutor and student, and a good understanding of how the student processes information, tutoring will be an engaging and productive experience for everyone involved. To be able to make learning interesting and have the material learned be applicable in the real world is a difficult task, a task that I am confident to succeed in.
