I'm Marshal! I graduated Cornell University with a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering. While I am most experienced tutoring math, physics, and helping students write/edit college application essays, I am also more than familiar with tutoring subjects including astronomy, economics, business, management, history, and many others.

In school, I sometimes found myself struggling to find my path balancing extracurriculars, family, friends, as well as my own severe ADD that was left undiagnosed and untreated until midway through college. I understand how difficult academics can be, and I am hoping to alleviate the struggle for anyone I can.

I am available for in-person sessions. We can meet wherever you feel comfortable: in your home, at a public library, or elsewhere. I am available on weekdays as early as 6:00, and weekends nearly anytime with enough notice. I am eager to help, and I promise I will go the extra mile to make sure you are successful!

In regards to math, I am familiar with high school courses such as: Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and AP Statistics and Probability. I am also able to tutor in more advanced college courses including: Single Variable Calculus, Multi-Variable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and Uncertainty Analysis.

As an engineer, I have specialized in physics my entire career, including academically. I am comfortable helping with nearly any course, including high school courses such as: Physics, Honors Physics, AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, AP Physics B, AP Physics C-Mechanics, and AP Physics C-Electromagnetism. In college I also familiarized myself with Fluid Mechanics, Solid Mechanics, Statics, Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Electromagnetism, Oscillations, Waves, and Quantum Mechanics.

If you or your student is seeking assistance in an area not mentioned above, please feel free to reach out and ask me.

Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

In regards to math, I spent much of my time in High School and at Cornell University. I am experienced in tutoring any course from Pre-Algebra to AP Calculus BC or AP Statistics (and their college equivalents). While I took more math courses in college including Multi-Variable Calculus, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra, I am still practicing them and may begin tutoring sometime in the near future, but not as of yet.
Physics,

Physics

Since high school, through college, and beyond graduation I have tutored students in physics whether they were younger, my peers, or adults much older than me. In high school I took Honors Physics, AP Physics B (the equivalent of modern day AP Physics 1 & 2), AP Physics C - Mechanics, and AP Physics C - Electromagnetism. I scored a 5 on each AP test, and am very familiar with not only helping students succeed in the course, but also excel on the AP test. During my time at Cornell, I took Fluid Mechanics, Solid Mechanics, Earthquake Dynamics, Statics, Thermodynamics, Electromagnetism, and Oscillations, Waves, and Quantum Mechanics in addition to courses more associated with engineering, but based in physics nonetheless.

Great lesson

After Marshal left, my daughter was in a really good mood. This was a first in awhile. He made her feel confident and hopeful. They are working on physics AP C. We will continue using him this semester. Thank you Marshal!

great teacher

Marshall is extremely patient and talks though each problem you have issues with. He is very helpful! I would definitely book again.
